Details and Directions

Attire:

Wedding guests should plan to come in their festive summer wedding finery.  Formal attire (tuxedos and the like) is neither required nor recommended, as the ceremony and cocktail hour, weather-permitting, will take place outdoors.

Parking:

Metered parking is available on Covington Street and Key Highway.  Paid parking is also available in the public parking lot at The Rusty Scupper Restaurant on Key Highway, across from AVAM.

From Here to There:

AVAM is located in Baltimore’s Federal Hill neighborhood, just steps away from the Inner Harbor.

1. (if) By Land:

From the North (New York and Philadelphia)– Follow I-95 South through the Ft. McHenry tunnel to exit 55/Key Highway.  At the bottom of the ramp, turn right at the stoplight onto Key Highway.  The museum is located 1.5 miles ahead on the left at the corner of Key Highway and Covington Street.  The Rusty Scupper Restaurant is located across the street.

From the South (Washington, D.C.)– Follow I-95 North to exit 55/Key Highway.  At the bottom of the ramp, turn left onto Key Highway.  The museum is located 1.5 miles ahead on the left at the corner of Key Highway and Covington Street.  The Rusty Scupper Restaurant is located across the street.

From the Hotel Monaco– Drive north on N. Charles Street (toward Wilkes Lane), and turn right onto E. Lexington Street.  Take the first right onto St. Paul Street, which becomes Light Street.  Continue on Light Street for approximately 1/2 mile, and then turn left onto Key Highway.  AVAM is located on the right.

2. (if) By Sea:

For our sea-faring guests, the Baltimore Water Taxi makes various stops along the Inner Harbor, with Saturday service from 10 am until 11 pm.  Take the water taxi to Landing 4, The Rusty Scupper, and follow the walkway up to Key Highway, where the museum will be visible.  If you are staying at the Hotel Monaco, the closest water taxi stop is Landing 2, Harborplace, in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor.

3. By Air:

For guests traveling from farther afield, we recommend booking flights into Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.  BWI is located approximately 10 miles from the Inner Harbor and light rail service is available from the airport to downtown Baltimore.
